A 46-inch walk-behind power trowel for finishing large slabs in wide passes. In a warehouse the slab goes down in large bays and the finish has to keep pace with the set, not the other way round. The 1,200 mm ring sweeps a far wider strip than a 914 mm one, so the operator makes fewer runs to close the same bay and reaches the burnish while the concrete is still in window.

The 60 to 135 rpm band is what separates the two passes of the job. At the low end, 60 rpm, you float the slab as soon as it takes a footprint and is still bleeding; at the top, 135, you close the pores and bring up the sheen. On a farm there is no three-phase power and no compressor standing by.
